 *اپنی زبان سے محبت کیجیے*

  *کامیاب زندگی *

 *ہمارے ایک دوست سراٸیکی پٹی سے ہیں ایک مرتبہ انہوں نے بڑا دلچسپ سچا لطیفہ سنایا* کہ ایک صاحب جو سراٸیکی علاقے سے تعلق رکھتے تھے شہر تشریف لاۓ اور خوب تعلیم حاصل کی خاص کر انگلش بہت اچھی سیکھ گٸے۔ *ان کی بول چال میں انگلش جھلکتی تھی مگر گھر والوں نے ان کی شادی خاندان میں کر دی* ۔ ان کی بیگم خالصتا سراٸیکی بولتی ۔جبکہ ان صاحب کی خواہش تھی کہ کاش بیگم ایسی ملتی جو ان کے ساتھ انگلش میں طوطا مینا کی طرح میٹھی باتیں کرتی باوجود اس کے سراٸیکی بہت میٹھی زبان ہے اور کہا جاتا ہے کہ دشمن کا دل بھی اس زبان سے با آسانی جیتا جا سکتا ہے مگر ان صاحب کی خواہشات کچھ اور تھیں حقاٸق کی دنیا سے پرے آنکھوں میں خواب نگر سجاۓ ہوۓ تھے ۔ *یہ صاحب ابتدا ٕ میں تو بہت پریشان ہوۓ بالآخر اس مسٸلے کا حل نکال لیا کہ اپنی زوجہ محترمہ کو انگلش سکھاٸی جاۓ تو کام چل سکتا ہے دوسری شادی خاندان کے اصولوں کے خلاف ہے چنانچہ انہوں نے اس خواہش کی تکمیل کے لیے بیگم کو انگلش سکھانا شروع کی* ۔ آغاز میں کھانے کامینیو سامنے رکھا اور ناشتہ کو بریک فاسٹ دوپہر کے کھانے کو لنچ اور رات کے کھانے کو ڈنر پہلا سبق پڑھا دیا گیا ایک دن تو بہت اچھا گزرا صاحب بہت خوش ہوۓ کہ ان کی ترکیب خاصی کامیاب ہے ۔ اگلے دن بیگم نے دوپہر کا کھانا لگایا اور انگلش کے دل دادہ صاحب سے بولی:

 *گِھنو مِیا صیب، ڈنر کر گِھنو۔* صاحب بولا:

 *وئے شودی بھولی، میڈی مِٹھڑی، ایہہ ڈنر کئے نئیں لنچ اے۔*

 *ڈوپہراں کُوں لنچ تِھیندا ہوندے۔* 

بیگم فوراً تصحیح کرتے ہوئے بولی:

 *وئے نامراد جاہلا، شودا ہوسِیں تُوں، جاہل ہوسِی تیڈا پَیو، ۔ مر پَوویں شالا ایہہ رات دا بچیا پیا ٹُکر ہا، میں اُوہو چا آئی آں۔ ہنڑ ڈسا ایہہ لنچ اے یا پَیو تیڈے دا ڈنر اے؟* اب صاحب مارے حیرت کے اپنی زوجہ کو دیکھ رہے تھے ۔ کہنے کو پڑھنے کو تو ایک علاقاٸی لطیفہ ہے مگر اپنے اندر بہت سے سبق رکھتا ہے۔ *کوا چلا ہنس کی چال ۔ ہم لوگ تب تک ذہنی غلامی سے نہیں نکل سکتے جب تک اپنی زبان سے محبت نہیں کرتے* ۔ اپنی مادری زبان اور قومی زبان دونوں سے محبت لازم ہے ۔پھر دوسرا اصول جب آپ کی علاقاٸی زبان بمقابلہ قومی زبان آۓ تو اردو کو ترجیح دیں۔ اس کی وجہ یہ کے *ہم سب پہلے مسلمان پھر پاکستان ہیں اور پاکستانی قومیت اور شناخت کے لیے اس کی قومی زبان سے محبت بہت ضروری ہے* ۔ اپنے بچوں کو کسی دوسری زبان کا غلام بنانے کی بجاۓ مادری زبان اور قومی زبان پر عبور دیں آپ دیکھیں گے کہ بچے کے سیکھنے کی صلاحیتیں بڑھ جاٸیں گی مگر ہم جب اپنے قوم کی نصف عمر انگلش سیکھنے میں ضاٸع کرواتے ہیں تو نتیجہ دھوبی کا کتا نہ گھر کا نہ گھاٹ کا ۔ *زبان آپ کا قیمتی اثاثہ ہے ۔اسی طرح جب کسی محفل میں مختلف زبانوں کے لوگ بیٹھے ہوۓ تو قومی زبان بولیں اس سے اتحاد نہیں ٹوٹے گا بدگمانی نہیں پیدا ہوگی دل کی کھیتی میں نفرت کے بیج نہیں بوۓ جاٸیں گے* ۔ آپ نے کبھی پٹھانوں کے خلاف لطاٸف پڑھے ہوں گے ۔ کبھی پنجابی اور کبھی بلوچی کبھی سردار ۔ *چلیں میں آپ سے سوال کرتا ہوں کیا آپ نے کبھی بیٹھ کر کسی قوم کے خلاف لطیفہ لکھا ۔* یقینا نہیں لکھا نہیں بنایا ۔ میں 44 بکس لکھ چکا ہوں میرے دوست بھی اچھے خاصے لکھاری شاعر ادیب ہیں مگر کسی نے کسی قوم کے خلاف لطیفہ نہیں گھڑا نہ کوٸی ایسی کتاب لکھی ۔جناب یہ لطیفے باقاعدے دشمن ملک عناصر لکھواتے ہیں ۔ کیوں کہ کسی ملک کے اتحاد کے عناصر میں زبان اور علاقہ بنیادی حیثیت رکھتے ہیں ۔ *اردو کی اصطلاح میں اسے لسانی تعصب اور علاقہ پرستی کہا جاتا ہے ۔* دشمن ان تحریکوں سے نفع اٹھاتا ہے لوگوں کے درمیان زبان کی آڑ میں نفرت پھیلاتا ہے *یاد رہے پاکستان کسی پنجابی سندھی بلوچی سراٸیکی پشتون نے نہیں بنایا پاکستان ہر زبان نسل قبیلہ ذات کے مسلمانوں نے مل کر بنایا ہماری پہلی شناخت اسلام پھر پاکستان* ۔ سادہ لفظوں میں کہوں تو اپنی زبان سے محبت کریں مگر جہاں ملک کی بات آۓ قوم کی بات آۓ وہاں قومی زبان اردو سے محبت کیجیے ۔موضوع کی مناسبت سے بات لمبی ہوتی جا رہی ہے *ایک دفعہ وائسرائے ہند، لارڈ ماونٹ بیٹن، مولانا ابو الکلام آزاد سے ملنے انکی رہائش گاہ آتا ہے۔ اس وقت مولانا آزاد کے پہلو میں ترجمان بھی بیٹھا ہوتا ہے-* وائسرائے جو بات کرتا ہے ترجمان اسکا ترجمہ کرکے مولانا آزاد کو بتاتا ہے- پھر مولانا آزاد کی ہر بات کا ترجمہ انگریزی میں کرکے وائسرائے کو بتاتا ہے۔یوں ہوا کہ ترجمان کچھ ترجمہ درست نہ کرسکا تو مولانا آزاد نے  اسکی غلطی درست کرکے کہا کہ یوں کہو۔ ملاقات کے اختتام پر وائسرائے مولانا آزاد سے بولا جب آپ کو انگریزی آتی ہے تو پھر ساتھ ترجمان کیوں بٹھایا؟ *مولانا ابوالکام آزاد نے فرمایا: "آپ پانچ ہزار میل چل کر اپنی زبان نہیں چھوڑ سکے۔* میں گھر بیٹھے ہوئے کیسے اپنی زبان چھوڑ دوں۔ جو قومیں اپنی زبان کی قدر نہیں کرتی وہ قومیں اپنی شناخت کھو دیتی ہیں ۔ *اردو سے پیار کیجیے ہمارے آباو اجداد کی غیرت ہی تھی کہ انہوں نے اپنی زبان سے محبت نہ کی ۔انگریز کی مثال آپ نے پڑھ لی اب ذرا قیام پاکستان کی ان وجوہات کو بھی دیکھ لیجیے* جب کانگریس نے اردو ہندی تنازعہ بنایا ۔ اچھی خاصی اردو زبان راٸج تھی اگر زبان اتنی اہم نہ ہوتی تو اس وقت ہندو ہندی کو اردو پر ترجیح دیتے ہوۓ ہندی کو زبردستی دفتری زبان نہ بناتے ۔یہ تنازعہ کھڑا نہ کرتے ۔ *او جی زبان سے کیا فرق پڑتا ہے یہ کوٸی مسٸلہ نہیں زبان تو کچھ بھی بولی جا سکتی ہے* ۔یہ اتنے سادہ جملے نہیں اور کیا یہ سادگی ہم نے ہی اختیار کرنی ہے انگریز اپنی زبان نہیں چھوڑتا ہندو اپنی زبان نہیں چھوڑتا تو کیا ہم پر واجب ہے *ارے یہ چھوٹے جملے دراصل جھوٹے جملے ہیں جن سے کسی قوم کی غیرت کو ختم کر کے ان کی شناخت کو مٹایا جاتا ہے ۔* اس قوم میں فکری انتشار عام کر کے اس کی نٸی نسل کو غلام بنایا جاتا ہے ہمارے ساتھ یہ کھیل آج سے نہیں بلکہ قیام پاکستان سے ہی شروع کر دیا گیا تھا اور زبان کی اسی یلغار نے ہماری نسلوں میں فکری انتشار پیدا کر دیا ہے جس کا نتیجہ ہمارے سامنے انگریز نصاب انگریز فکر انگریز راج انگریز قوانین کی صورت میں موجود ہے ۔ *عدالتوں کا نظام دیکھ لیں ۔ روڈ پر لگے ٹریفک کے اشاروں کو دیکھ لیں ۔* کپڑے لیں یا صابن لیں ہر چیز انگلش میں جوتا لیں یا شادی پر گانا بجاٸیں سب آوازیں انگلش میں۔ *یہ سب غلامی کی روشن علامات ہیں ۔ خدارا نکلیے ان لطاٸف سے ۔دورنگی چھوڑ یک رنگ ہو جا ۔خود سے اپنے ملک سے قومی علامات اشیإ سے پیار کیجیے ۔۔۔ قدر کیجیے* ۔۔ آزادی کی ۔ آزادی دینے والوں کی ۔ آزادی کے خواب میں شامل خوبصورت اصولوں کی ۔۔ تحریر کا آغاز جس انگلش جملے سے کیا ہے وہ ماتما گاندھی کے الفاظ ہیں۔ بنارس کا اردو ہندی تنازعہ اس بات کا منہ بولتا ثبوت ہے کے زبان کسی قوم کی ترقی میں کس قدر اہمیت کی حامل ہوتی ہے۔ مجھے افسوس سے کہنا پڑتا ہے کہ ہمارے والدین کی نسل اور ہم لوگ زمانہ طالب علمی میں اس فرنگی زبان ک ہی ستاۓ ہوۓ تھے ۔ *اگر اس فرنگی زبان کو ہم پر مسلط نہ کیا جاتا تو پاکستان میں شرح خواندگی بہت زیادہ ہوتی* ۔ ہمارے اپنے خاندان اور کٸی بزرگوں نے اپنا مدرسہ سکول اس لیے چھوڑ دیا کہ انہیں انگلش گرامر سمجھ نہیں آتی تھی *بی اے فیل لوگوں کی ایک بڑی تعداد کا مشترک المیہ انگلش ہے ۔ انگلش ایک ایسا پہاڑ تھا جس کو سر نہ کر سکنے کی وجہ سے تعلیم کو فل سٹاپ لگانا بلکہ یوں سمجھ لیں شوق حصول علم کا گلا گھوٹنالازم سمجھا جاتا* ۔ اللہ ارباب اختیار کی گدی میں یہ بات ڈالے کے آزادی اور *نٸی  ریاست کا نعرہ لگانے والوں کو پہلے غلامی کے تمام طوق اتار پھینکنے ہوں گے وگرنہ دعوے اچھے احمقانہ خوابوں سے زیادہ کچھ نہیں*
